This panel will attempt to discuss some the “best practices” - legal, pastoral, ethical, medical, and psychological - that have been employed throughout the globe to address the claims of sexual abuse that have occurred in the past that often do not fall within the legal statute of limitations determined in most national jurisdictions.

This panel will be moderated by Gerard J. McGlone, SJ, PhD who is Senior Research Fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs - Georgetown University

Gerard J. McGlone, SJ, PhD

He is author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, chapters and 2 award winning books-the Inner life of Priests and To Be One in Christ: Intercultural Formation and Ministry and several sexual abuse prevention programs in the Church and religious orders.
